Who We Are

We are a family run business, offering excellent childcare and modern facilities and Resources on Rice Lane, Walton, Liverpool. 

As parents ourselves, we are passionate about delivering the absolute highest quality of care and education to every child we have the privilege of looking after. 

Bonnie Bear Day Care was established in 2020 and following a huge refurbishment, first opened its doors in 2021 and is proving a popular choice for childcare in the area. Bonnie Bear Day Care is going from strength to strength and has already established a great reputation across Liverpool. The business was set up in loving memory of the owners Hayley & Charlie’s baby girl, Bonnie Murtagh, who they sadly lost in February 2020 later that year Bonnie Bear Day Care was established.

Hayley and Charlie set out looking for a nursery and for something new and exciting to focus on following the loss of Bonnie and was lucky enough to find the amazing building which was once the well-known pub “The Plough” on Rice Lane. They then took on the challenge to convert the pub into a nursery and have created a modern, yet home from home environment for all children aged 12 weeks to 5 Years old. 

Hayley and Charlie are passionate about delivering the highest quality childcare at locally competitive rates for children aged 0-5 years old. The safety, welfare and happiness of the children in their care will always be their number one priority.

The ethos is to support the development of children, with a particular focus on children’s well-being in order for them to learn and develop in safe and secure surroundings.

Our vision is for each child to leave Bonnie Bear Day Care with “The Bonnie Bear Back Pack” this includes all of their early years development that we have instilled within our children for them to become independent, school ready learners.

Our environment is carefully planned and adapted to take account of children’s interests and stages of development and are designed to be exciting and stimulating in order to facilitate the highest levels of engagement in play and learning. 

We have a very experienced, high qualified and dedicated staff team who are specialists in Early Years and child development.

We do our utmost to ensure that Bonnie Bear Day Care provides an outstanding standard of childcare.
