Forest School provision
At Bonnie Bear Day Care, we are proud to offer enriching Forest School experiences as part of our curriculum, giving children the opportunity to learn, explore, and thrive in the natural environment.
Our Forest School sessions are designed to support children of all ages in developing confidence, resilience, and independence through hands-on, outdoor learning. Children are encouraged to take safe risks, problem-solve, and follow their own interests, helping to build essential life skills.
Through a balance of child-led exploration and carefully supported activities, children engage in experiences such as den building, exploring natural materials, seasonal activities, storytelling, and developing an understanding of the world around them.
Forest School also plays a key role in supporting children’s well-being and emotional development, providing a calm and nurturing space where they can build strong relationships, express themselves freely, and develop a love for the outdoors.
Our trained practitioners carefully plan and adapt sessions in line with the EYFS and our bespoke Bonnie Bear-Rilliant Curriculum, ensuring all children are supported and challenged at their individual stage of development.
We believe that some of the most meaningful learning happens outside—where children can be curious, capable, and truly inspired.
